NOPI Drift

Drifting at NOPI

No points. No trophies. Just tire smoke. Drifting at NOPI events is all about fun runs for drivers and ride-alongs for everyone else.

What to Expect

All Smoke. No Pressure.

Drifting has been part of the NOPI weekend for years. There's no official drift competition, no judges and no points. Drivers come out to have fun, fans come out to watch, and anyone brave enough can grab a seat for a ride-along.

Who

Drivers with drift experience and a drift-ready car

Register for drift fun runs at the event. Details are posted on each event page.

What You'll Need

Expect a valid driver's license, an approved helmet, a car that passes tech inspection and a signed track waiver. Rules and fees can vary by track.

For Passengers

Ride-Alongs

Never drifted? Grab the passenger seat. Ride-alongs put you in the car with an experienced driver for a full drift run. It's the closest you can get to the action without driving.

Step 1

Check the Event

See if ride-alongs are offered on the event page and when the drift sessions run.

Step 2

Sign Up at the Drift Area

Head to the drift area during drift sessions to sign up. Passengers sign a track waiver before riding, and spots can be limited.

Step 3

Strap In

Belts tight. Your driver handles the rest. Hang on.

Age, height or other passenger requirements may apply. Check the event page or ask at the drift area.

For Spectators

Watch the Drift

Drifting runs alongside NDRA drag racing and the car show, so there's always something going on. Check the event schedule for drift session times and grab a spot before the smoke rolls in.
